FIST are Newcastle’s alt-punk spark-plugs. If you’ve made it this far, thank you for checking us out. We mix skate-punk speed with thrash riffs, ska grooves, and rap-driven hooks, and we balance it all with a very Aussie sense of humour. Think The Living End meets RHCP meets Turnstile.

Bets With God is the most vulnerable song we have ever written. It is a heavy, melodic anthem about grief, faith, and the fragile things we hold onto.

 

It’s dedicated to my partner’s horse Shady, which was recently hit by a car. The song became my way of processing guilt, love, and letting go. At its core, it comes from a desperation to be understood, and to understand.

 

The track builds like a storm, moving from quiet reflection to full catharsis, capturing the moment where pain and peace collide. It feels big, raw, and real, with stadium emotion on a DIY budget.
